Brecodrain

This is a Jute-Coir Prefabricated Vertical Drain meant for soft-soil consolidation. The sheath of the drain is braided from jute yarns while the core consists of a large number of coir yarns. The entire product is manufactured on a specially designed Braiding machine, which permits control of pore size, discharge capacity, linear mass and strength of the product. The simple and flexible production machine facilitates production of PVD as per requirement of the end-user. The behavior of this drain in kinked condition has been found to be superior to that of the commercial drains, when tested in laboratory. Being totally biodegradable, this drain would merge with the surrounding soil after fulfilling its function.
