Description And Advantages

An Austrian company, Special Products Engineering & Design Gmbh, has introduced a novel high pressure water jet cutting technology. In this, a water jet beam with pressure upto 4000 bar cuts materials like steel, titanium, glass, plastics, composite materials, textiles and heat sensitive materials of all kinds at three times the speed of sound. Applications can be found in the automobile industry, synthetic and plastic industry, steel processing industry and industrial glass industry. This cutting tool becomes especially important when several materials with different physical and chemical properties in form of a sandwich or composite materials have to be cut.
