Description and Advantages  

SureBeam Corp., the United States, has obtained another patent for its novel system enhancements that improve equipment life cycles, reduce construction costs and increase productivity. According to the company's President and CEO, the new patent enhances SureBeam^(R) technology in many ways. The SureBeam^(R) electronic pasteurization system uses ordinary electricity to sterilize food after it has been processed and packaged. The patented system instantly eliminates food-borne pathogens such as Listeria, E. coli O157:H7, Campylobacter and Salmonella, without compromising the product's quality. At present the FDA and USDA have approved SureBeam technology for use on all raw meats, fruits and vegetables.
