Introduction

By virtue of its expertise in modified polymer technology and innovativeness in manufacturing specialized poly films, the offer making company has developed a new product i.e. Environment Friendly 100% Biodegradable Polythene Granules. The company specializes in the manufacture of rust preventive (VCI) LDPE and Antistatic polythene bags/ sheets and rolls. These products have been well accepted by large customers for packing their goods. All products manufactured currently confirm to International and domestic standards and have been tested and certified by India's topmost government agencies, technical institute etc.

In order to support everyone's awareness regarding environment friendliness of any product the company has recently launched carbohydrate based polythene (LDPE/ LLDPE) raw material as well as film. Film manufactured by using this raw material has a normal film like appearance and excellent heat sealability. Film can be manufactured upto a low thickness of 20 microns. When subjected to burning, film as well as granules burn like a paper without generating toxic gases like dioxin. Also in vermipost landfill site, entire film gets degraded in less than two months. This unique feature enables hospitals to dispose off their waste by both the methods of incineration as well as landfill. Like normal plastic, this material could be recycled. Another unique feature of this product is that when subjected to a direct fungal attack in presence of water especially in sewage or wastewater drains this film gets destroyed in few days.

This feature can definitely minimize choking problem of pipelines due to accumulation of normal plastic bags currently being faced all over the world.Under two hundred hours of UV irradiation test, this product has been tested as a photodegradable. All properties of the product have been tested and has been awarded by prestigious institutions. It has been tested for oral toxicity as per US standards making it usable for food packing applications. For the purpose of mass adaptation of this technique, the company has started selling this product as a raw material of plastic granules to assist polythene bag industry. These granules in turn can produce films of different sizes and thickness all over world.

The product can assist entire world in improving current environment in following ways:Complete disposal of hazardous/ non hazardous waste either by incineration or by land fill can easily be accomplished without affecting surrounding environment.Being photodegradable, leftover bags of this kind can turn into powder due to presence of direct sunlight. Being in powder form, left over further gets degraded completely in soil over a period of time. Thus, society can overcome 'ground stewn with carrybags situation'.Recycling ability can allow user to recycle this material again and again.Unique feature of getting degraded in few days under severe fungi, algae or bacterial attack in presence of sewage of waste water, problem of choking pipelines can definitely be minimized.

Excellent quality of manure or biofertilizer could be made of completely degraded biodegradable waste along with this film. This has unique advantage of producing fertilisers at lower cost by simultaneously disposing all biodegradable waste. This film can be used for the purpose of lamination or any substrate like paper, HDPE liner, photographs etc. Being much cheaper than polyester laminating film, cost of laminated product as food grade. This product can definitely help society in improving existing environment all over the world.
