Home » Technology » New Technologies » Metal and Metalworking Industry » A Process for the Preparation of Zinc Rich Primer Based on Alkali Silicate

Introduction

A unique process to make post cure zinc silicate primer based on enriched sodium silicate ( where silica to alkali ratio high). It is thinable with water. After application of the primer chemical wash is given for curing the primer. Moreover it is a maintenance free primer. The process is standardised at a scale of 15 Litres/Day. A plant with a capacity to manufacture 15,000 Litres of primer/annum costs approx. Rs. 16 Lakhs Ideally suitable for small scale industries
