The Manufacturing process of Vitamin E/tocopherol from basic step involves: Sulhonation of 2,3,6 Trimethyl phenol in a glass lined reactor. The sulphonated product is oxidized to trimethyl quinone. The quinone is reduced to trimethyl hydroquinone using sodium dithionite. The dried hydroquinone is condensed with isophytol to yield tocopherol which is then acetylated and distilled to obtain pure vitamin E acetate. The product conforms to IP/USP quality standards. Area of Application

Pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry. The product is of therapeutic value and has got wide applications in this segment. It is also used as an anti-oxidant.
