Technology Description

XAPP is an executable app that lets marketers showcase their products on their own website, and/or extend to mobile devices. It is a system to manage & synchronize web content, engagement and lead capture across customer lifecycle. It allows businesses to promote themselves via multiple social media platforms simultaneously and convert that 'buzz' into leads.

XAPP focuses on the earliest stages of the sales process, brand management and capturing leads. It puts leads into what they call the "Sales Box", and then begins to use some of the features of SBW to allow for collaboration internal to the company and with customers. They also have "the deal room", which allows for the lead to become interactive. You can invite employees/ partners/ customers to collaborate.

XAPP distinguishes from a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, calling it a customer engagement system. CRM systems automate the sales process, while XAPP focuses on the top of the funnel, where salespeople capture leads and develop the brand, and stops where the CRM (e.g. Sales force or Sugar) starts.
