Technology Description

The technology is a digital algorithm for improving the tracking of a target by a missile based weapons system.

The technology is a DSP (Digital Signal Processing) based Adaptive Control System Algorithm for Aerospace & Defense. It works with Electric Motor based Electro Mechanical Actuators (EMA) and power drives used in Aerospace & Defense projects.

This technology enhances the speed of tracking a target by a defense weapon system as well as improves the accuracy of hitting the target without changing the associated hardware, as compared to a classic analog or digital control.

The target is tracked by a missile by the positioning of the four fins or the jet nozzle. The innovator's technology ensures that the fins reach their desired positions faster and without compromising stability. These fin positions are commanded by the main computer of the missile (On-Board-Computer). The DSP based Adaptive algorithm receives these commanded positions and controls the fins to the desired positions rapidly and accurately.

The USP of the technology is the adaptive nature of the algorithm which modifies itself according to the requirements of the missile. The adaptive feature makes the missile faster and more accurate in its response.
