Introduction

The ESCB is a new concept for Indian industries world wide. In India very a few industries are aware about it. This technology finds numerous applications in the fields of science, medicine, defence and industry. The controlled discharge of capacitor bank energy results in megawatts to gigawatts of power generation in short period of milliseconds to microseconds.

Energy Storage capacitor Bank Technology developed at this centre is provided with a very efficient way of configuring individual energy storage capacitors in a sub-bank unit upto 10 kJ and many such sub-bank units upto a maximum of 8 nos. in parallel for 80 kJ maximum. Many innovative features have been incorporated which have resulted in simplicity, economy and high energy transfer efficiency.
