Pre-fabricated Industrial Panel Systems

Introduction

An Indian company undertakes turnkey projects in refrigeration, insulation and central air-conditioning. The company offers pre-fabricated industrial panel systems (sandwhich panels) which are economical, state-of-the-art components for cold rooms, and which eliminate the disadvantage of conventional insulation materials.

These panels comprise a polyurethane foam layer, sandwiched between two steel plates. The polyurethane chemicals are injected between the steel plates under high pressure, with automatic dosage, thus forming a light, sturdy, efficient insulation panel.

The technical details of the polyurethane foam insulation are

Thermal conductivity	0.017 Kcal/(mh deg.c)
Compressive strength at 10% strain	3.6 Kg/Sq cm
Surface lamination	Hot galvanized colour-coated steel sheets, stainless steel sheets, plastisol- coated steel galvanized sheets, anodized aluminium, and other surfaces against order.
Panel dimension	Length of up to 7000mm and a panel width of 980mm.
Joint	Elements have tongue and groove joints, and assembly is by means of eccentric camlocks of high density polystyrene embedded in each 750mm centre.
Corner element	Prefabricated/premoulded corner elements, resulting in faster erection of coldrooms and less site work.
