Technology Description

This technology is for melting steel without electricity to produce steel casting. It consists of an Exothermic mixture consisting of suitable oxides and reducing metals.

This is an alternative energy for Electricity to melt steel, the suitable Exothermic mixture is introduced into the ladle with preheated steel scrap and reaction starts and reaction starts instantly. Suitable metallothermic mix means the right type of oxide and the quantity and proportion of reducing metals. The quantity of metallothermic mixture to be used is in direct proportion with the quantity of steel to be melted. As the reaction takes place plunging and stirring of the charge metal is necessary to help the entire charge metal to get melted.
