Technology Description

Using smart coating on the body we can alter the aerodynamic features like drag on objects like bullets flying at high speeds. This smart coating selectively releases heat at appropriate speeds there by altering the aerodynamic flow features. This also results in the reduction of aerodynamic drag force.

Applications

This will be very useful to enhance the range of space vehicles by reducing the drag force. So high speed flying objects will be able to traverse longer distance using the same fuel.

Benefits

There are no similar methods in the market. Other methods like spikes, jets or concentrated energy ahead of the space vehicle will consume huge energies and have lot of practical problems.
