| Microwave
Sintering
Technology Description
The technology
is a device which can produce microwave radiation . It is
also a process through which microwaves can be targetted against
a specific load of material to sinter of fuse it .
When microwave
energy is targetted at a specific material , the material
either absorbs , reflects or allows the microwaves to pass
through . Microwave radiation causes intense molecular friction
within the material depending upon it's dielectric properties
or behaviour . This causes the material to intensely heat
up within short intervals of exposure to Microwaves . The
technology is designed to contain this heat within a cavity
or an enclosure within which a material that can efficiently
absorb microwaves at room temperature is placed . Along with
this material which is popularly known as "Susceptors"
the load or the material to be heat treated / sintered or
fused is also placed . This briefly summarizes what the technology
does.
