Technology
Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) Machine

Technology Description

The Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) machine is a molding machine for manufacturing bottles in polymers like Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, etc. The ISBM machine uses a highly energy-efficient process, wherein the preform is molded as an intermediate product, which is then tranferred to the blow station on the same machine, where it is stretch-blown to obtain the bottles of desired size and geometry.
The plastic bottles produced on the ISBM machine would typically have end-use for packaging applications in various industries like Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverages, Pesticides, Cosmetics, etc.

Benefits

The technology can incorporate an innovative design which leads to the lower cost of the machine.

Also the aforesaid machine works on a highly efficient process with the following advantages:

  • Plastic bottles are produced with negligible wastage of polymer raw material
  • Plastic Bottles are produced with minimum possible weight
  • The ISBM machine uses a highly energy-efficient process
  • Plastic bottles can be produced with a superior quality and with a high volume of production
