Technology Description

The technology is a pedal-powered washing machine. The device is designed to be used in undeveloped regions that lack adequate electrical power. The device is human-powered and is designed to be operated by turning two bicycle-like pedals which are attached to a rotating wash-drum assembly. The wash-drum is situated inside an exterior housing unit which contains a tank of water. When the water tank is properly filled, the wash-drum is partially submerged inside the tank. A water valve at the bottom of the tank can be opened to drain the tank.
