Wave Assisted Applications in Bio-Technology
Technology Description
A new micro-blast wave assisted non-invasive
drug (liquid,solid or suspensions) delivery device has been
developed. The same device can also be used to inject desired
DNA into live cells. Using the new device one can inject drugs
without using needles. The same device with additional attachement
can also used to introduce desired macro-molecules like DNA
to cells for gentic manipulations.
Appplications
Targeted delivery of drug/gene like a protable gene gun.
A neeleless drug delivery device for vaccine and probably
insulin delivery system. A portable cell transformation device.
Benefits
Currently in the market there are no commercial devices that
can non-instursivley deliver liquids/suspensions to the desired
biological target. Moreover None of the existing drug delivery
methods can be integrated with miniature endoscopic surgical
tools that are routinely used in the biomedical industry.
In this context this new device has the potential to revolutionize
the vaccine/drug delivery industry.
