Salient Features of Process/Technology
The process consists of liming of hide to open up the fibrous
structure; lime splitting; special treatment for milled grain
chrome tanning effect with minimum chrome; levelling of substance
treating with chrome syntan; application of fatliquors and
dyes to achieve proper lubrication and light fastness properties;
finishing with binders; dry milling.
Status of Commercialisation: Commercialised.

250 sq m/day.

Equipment and Machinery:
Usual tannery equipment.
Raw Materials: Buffalo hides,
lime, chrome syntan, fatliquors, dye, binders.
