softie leather from buffalo hides.
Application/Use: Used in
making leather goods and furniture upholstery.
Salient Features of Process/Technology
The process involves liming of hide for opening up of fibrous
structure; lime splitting; tanning with chrome and chrome
syntans; neutralisation to a higher pH (5.5-6.0); lubricating
with fatliquor; finishing with good quality resin and top
coats to achieve rub fastness.

Commercialised.
