Assisted Learning and Teaching of Hindi as a Foreign Language
Introduction
Adhyaapak Sahaayak - This is a Computer Assisted Learning
Teaching (CALT) software which assists teacher to create teaching
material and helps student to learn and get evaluated on number
of topics in Hindi language. The CALT was developed as a part
of sponsored project by DOE under TDIL programme. The following
software were developed as a part of above mentioned project
in Jan 1995. The system was developed in DOS plateform. Letter
Recognition and word formation. Case generation and Morphological
Analysis. Gender, Number, Synonyms, Antonyms package. Alternatives
and One_Word substitution. Creative Story formation. Query
System. Authoring System. Dialogue system. Alankar-Arthbhed
package. Upma-Alankar package. Ras and Muhavra Lokokti package
. Dictionary Designing Tools - This software was developed
as a part of B.Tech thesis that helps user to create electronic
dictionary in any language. It is an interactive system and
gives facility of fast retrieval of words along with corresponding
informations. Machine Translation Systems - Machine translation
system from English to Hindi using interlingua approach was
implemented. Another system using Neural Network was also
implemented for translation purpose.
