Dissolved Oxygen Measuring System

Introduction

Oxygen measuring system measures dissolved oxygen content, on a continuous basis, of aqueous particulate or cell suspensions in a controlled environment. the system consists of clark oxygen probe, an amplifier, a microcomputer with digital display. the system is versatile and can be used in industries, hospitals, and research laboratories.

Application Research

  • To determine photosynthetic oxygen evolution and consumption rates for suspension of intact algal cells, isolated chloroplast and plant leaf discs.
  • Respiration studies in isolated plant and animal mitochondria.

Agriculture and Industry :

  • To determine photosynhtetic capacities of plant leaves.
  • Dissolved oxygen in water samples.
  • Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) applications.
  • To measure oxygen levels in fermenters.

Medical : Oxygen levels in blood (using micro probes)
Others : Oxygen concentration in large size cell or tissue (pant or animal) using micro probes.
