S/W for Perceptual Manipulation of
Input Color Images
Introduction
Korean company offers the technology of S/W for perceptual
manipulation of input color images. "Magic Color"
is a S/W that can offer an interactive method for producing
perceptually matched or customer favorite color images. The
solution is primarily targeted at unexpensive platform intended
for the reproduction of received color images, such as PC,
and is extended to various applications. The S/W gives a new
way for input color images to be manipulated regardless of
having the knowledge of scene illuminant. The solution comes
in two major steps for the customer's decision of output color.
The first is to change the brightness conditions, and the
second is designed to illuminant-transform by considering
both illuminant conditions and color temperatures of the display.
Images handled in the S/W are to be captured by input color
devices (DSC, color scanner) and downloaded on the Internet.
In addition, the S/W supports visual calibration of a monitor
and standard color spaces in color I/O devices.
Area of Application: Electronics
industry: S/W for processing/Editing color images in color
I/O devices such as digital still camera (DSC), color scanner,
and color monitor S/W for producing and editing content in
multi-media application color images S/W and H/W for producing
and editing broadcasting contents S/W for producing Color
CD title S/W for the I/O system of digital photo H/W for the
real time color transformation in Digital-camcorder, Digital-TV
Advantages: Generating almost
natural color image on the monitor in case users don't know
the color of light source Providing adequate images to user's
taste Reproducing perceptual color matching between a real
image and reproduced image on a monitor captured by digital
still camera (DSC) or color scanner Supporting the visual-calibration
method of a Monitor, and standard color (sRGB, CIE)
