The kit is used for assessment of water
quality for potable water, industrial waste treatment plants
etc. The device consists of a pH measuring unit, a temperature
measuring unit, a dissolved oxygen measuring unit, a conductivity
measuring unit and an ORP measuring unit, each can be operated
independently.
The pH of the sample is measured with combined glass calomel
electrodes using a high input resistance FET (Field Effect
Transistor) amplifier system.
A platinum electrode in conjuction with
a reference (ex.saturated calomel electrode) from the measurment
system for ORP measurements. Conductivity coil with platinised
platinum electrodes and with a cell constant of 1.0 +/- 0.01
is used for the measurement of electrical conductivity of
the sample solution.
The Dissolved oxygen of the sample is measured
using a membrane covered polorographic detector, which produces
a current proportional to the dissolved oxygen in the sample.
Digital display is used for all the above
parameters by proper calibration in their respective modes.
