Introduction

A Composite Crutch was developed, taking into consideration the specific needs of the user. The user specific features of, light weight, stability, shoulder support, noise less (no joint screeching) operation, easy handling, and low energy requirement (a limited spring back action) are incorporated in the design. The design and design procedure is developed. and one prototype of the design is also developed. Due to limitations of manufacturing process available, some limitations are still left in the fabricated crutch. But the overall performance is quite satisfactory.
