Design in Building
Introduction
This is an interactive programme for computing daylight available
at a point in horizontal or vertical plane for Indian standard
design sky condition from basic mathematical equations. The
inputs are room dimensions, window descriptions, external
obstructions descriptions, reflectivity of room surfaces,
etc. The outputs are sky components, ERC and IRC and hence
the design daylight factor. Rooms and window must be of regular
shapes.
Salient features:
Based on basic analytical equations, this software can analyze
the daylight available in different points of a room in an
accurate way and is more accurate than the normal tables,
which are used for similar computation.
Prospective Users: Any architectural
organization, CPWD, HUDCO etc.
