Agricultural Short Terms Loans from Indian Overseas Bank

A. New Kisan Credit Card

Objective

To meet investment and credit requirements of farmers.

Eligibility

Existing farmer clients & also the prospective farmers

Purpose

Investment credit need and allied activities. Revolving Cash Credit for crops & for allied activities 

Amount

Maximum Rs..50,000/-

Margin

Nil

Security

Hypothecation of crops and assets created out of bank finance. 

Repayment

Term loan - Max. 5 years 

Holiday Period

Depending on the asset created 

Rate of Interest

Remarks

  • Card validity - 5 Years
  • The limit to be availed in full within one yr from the date of sanction.

B. Credit Card KCC

Objectives

  • Kisan Credit Card Scheme aims at providing need based and timely credit support to the farmers for their cultivation needs as well as non-farm activities and cost effective manner.
  • To bring about flexibility and operational freedom in credit utilisation.

Eligibility

Existing farmer with good record or any farmer (even illiterate)

Purpose

For crop/ harvest  and maintenance of machinery

Amount

Minimum  Rs 2000/- no maximum amount.
10% above scale of finance for crops

Margin

Up to     Rs. 50,000 -- Nil

>Rs. 50,000 – 15% to 25%

Security

Up to    Rs.5 lacs - Hypothecation

             >Rs.5 lacs – Collateral / TPG

Repayment

Annual review - continuous CC

Holiday Period

NA

Rate of Interest

Up to Rs. 3 lacs-7%

         >Rs. 3 lacs  up to 25 lacs -- 13.50%

         >Rs. 25lakhs -- 15.50%

Remarks

  • Card valid for 3 yrs.
  • 50% as cash withdrawal from any branch.
  • Credit Balance >14 days will get deposit  interest.

Additional Benefits

Accidental  Insurance  Rs. 5000

C. Kisan Green Card

Objective

To cater to long term developmental Credit needs including consumption needs of the farmers..

Eligibility

Farmers with good tract record of loan repayment (within 3 months from due date) for the last 3 yrs.

Purpose

 Long term developmental credit needs including consumption needs.

Amount

5 times annual income or 50% of Mortgaged  land or 100% of liquid securities-Max. 5 lacs

Margin

Upto Rs. 50000-Nil >Rs. 50000-15.25 %

Security

Upto Rs.50000 Hypothecation of assets, loan agreement      >Rs. 50000 - Mortgage of  immovable property, deposit receipts, LIC policies, NSC's.

Repayment

5-7 yrs in yearly/ half yearly as per cropping pattern.

Holiday Period

Depending on   assets created

Rate of Interest

Upto 50,000-9.50%     

 >50,000 to 2 lacs --  13.50%

 2 to 25 lacs -- 14%

>25 lacs -- 14.50%

Remarks

Card valid for one year only

D. Agri General Purpose credit card

Objective

To provide liquidity to meet any financial needs relating to Agricultural Investments or Consumption.

Eligibility

Customers in rural and semi-urban areas, members of Self Help Groups and Joint Liability Groups 

Purpose

For any genuine purpose 

Amount

Maximum .Rs.25000. 

Margin

Nil 

Security

Nil 

Repayment

Cash Credit Periodically reviewed 

Holiday Period

NA 

Rate of Interest

At Banks Prime Lending Rate 

Remarks

  • It is based on assessment of cash flow. 
  • It is a Cash Credit.
  • No card issued & no Cheque book or Pass book issued & withdrawal by loose cheque.
  • Women given preference
