Airbus' EVP (marketing and sales) and president, India, Kiran Rao feels there is huge potential for the Indian market. "This is the largest number of planes ordered in one shot ever by an airline. India is the fastest-growing aviation market in the world and requires 1,000 new planes over next two decades. Almost 70% of planes flying with Indian carriers are Airbus products and we expect many more orders from airlines here. This is the beginning of second wave of orders from India after 2005," he said.
