Biotechnology
Policy 2003
The Government of Madhya Pradesh has
displayed a strong commitment for the socio-economic development
of the citizens of the state. Conservation of the state's
rich biodiversity, its sustainable use for expanding livelihood
security and ensuring equitable sharing of its benefits
have been part of this larger commitment.
Biotechnology is research-led
and capital intensive. It demands the supply of trained
human resource. At the same time there are strengths emanating
out of traditional wisdom that need to be protected and
enhanced for the larger common good.
Captive
Power Policy - 2001
The new Captive Power Policy of the
State Government, is highly detrimental to efficient utilization
of power generating capacity created at a considerable cost,
conservation of electricity through demand side management
and reduction of losses in utilization of electricity. Captive
power plant means power plant including generating sets
if any installed by consumer of Madhya Pradesh Electricity
Board (MPEB) for his own use.

Solar Energy Policy 2010 New
Energy is the prime mover of the
development of any economy. While conventional fuels viz coal
and oil has been the primary sources for energy, their long
term availability has been an area of concern. Besides their
increased usage has led to high concentrations of greenhouse
gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere which is an increasingly important
concern with regard to global warming and resultant climate
changes.
Eco
& Adventure Tourism Policy - 2001 - 02
The Government of Madhya Pradesh had
announced its Tourism Policy in 1995, which had, as one
of its major objectives, the promotion of Eco and Adventure
Tourism.
The importance of tourism and the benefits derived from
it are well known. With changing times, interests of tourists
have also changed requiring development of newer varied
forms of tourism.
Small
Hydropower Policy - 2011 (Draft) New
Hydro - electric power is one of
the cleanest and most viable renewable sources of energy.
Madhya Pradesh Government has been constantly promoting setting
up of non-conventional power plants.
State Government has declared incentive policy26-09-1994 and08-08-2006
for non-conventional energy sources and there after time to
time their amendments accordingly Small Hydro Power production
is within the control of State Government.
Information Technology Policy 2006
New
Madhya Pradesh strives to use Information
Technology to achieve the following objectives:
- Improve the life of the common man
leveraging the strengths of e-Governance.
- Attract investment in the sector
so that the educated youth is able to contribute to the
development of the State.
- Create a pool of highly skilled professionals
who are at par with the best in the country.
- Transforming Resource Based Economy
to Knowledge Based Economy.
Mineral
Policy New
1. Mineral Wealth has a significant contribution in development
of the nation as well as the State. The Government of India
declared a National Mineral Policy in respect of Non-fuel
and Non-atomic minerals in the year 1993.
2. The Government of Madhya pradesh for the first time declared
a Madhya Pradesh Mineral Policy in the year 1995.
Population
Policy
Madhya Pradesh is the second largest
state in the country in terms of area. Its population has
crossed the 60 million mark and accounts for 5.88% of the
total population of the country. Although the sex ratio
has reflected an increasing trend, the state still ranks
amongst the more backward states in terms of most demographic
indicators. Diversity in Socio-economic conditions is in
the nature of the state. With an area of 3.08 Lac square
K.M. and density of population 196 per kilometer, it makes
the State a difficult terrain, hard to reach and inaccessible.
In terms of Human Development Index (HDI) with an index
value of 34.8 the state lags behind the all India average
of 45. The state also has a sizable tribal population.
Road
Policy
Transport plays a principal role in
economic development of any area. A well laid-out road network
is essential for efficient and cost effective movement of
men and materials, without which trade and industry cannot
maintain a competitive edge.
Recognizing this fact, Government of
Madhva Pradesh has decided to accord special priority to
road development and prepare a road policy to meet the challenges
ahead.
Science
& Technology Policy 2007 New
Science & Technology (S&T) is
the most potent tool for development in the world of today.
Scientific and technological endeavour is therefore everywhere
planned and organized to achieve specific objectives of
social, economic and cultural development and prosperity.
Be it the governments or the multinational corporations,
civil institutions or defence establishments, they all recognize
and give due importance to planned scientific and technological
development in their plan and strategies.
Wind
Power Project Policy 2011 New
The Government of Madhya Pradesh has
taken note of the growing recognition of impacts of climate
change and recognizes the need to tackle challenges that
arise on account of these impacts through integrated policy
prescriptions and programmes aimed at mitigation of impacts
and adaptation to reduce vulnerability of systems. Based
on this green initiative, by endorsing the essential need
to prevent avoidable erosion of natural carbon energy
resources the state is endowed with, the state has committed
to promote promotion of generation of electricity from Renewable
Energy sources.
