Brief Description

The process is simple, low capital intensive and can easily be adopted in a small scale sector. The sludge is first roasted to drive off moisture and organic compounds. The roasted product is smelted in presence of reductant and flux. The metal obtained is further refined. The overall recovery of tin is 90% with purity of 99.5%. The process is economical provided regular supply of sludge is assured.
