Electric Water Heaters
Introduction
Indian consultancy company offers to arrange collaboration
with an Italian company, part of the Group which is
one of the leading names in the electric water heaters
field with a turnover of US$ 75 million and an annual
production capacity of 1 million pieces per year. The
Italian company is looking for a joint venture (JV)
partner company in India who must be an existing manufacturer
of water heaters/electric appliances. The 52 years old
Italian Group has penetrated international markets through
a series of brand names. The Group, in 1988, acquired
the particular company specialised in the production
of industrial water heaters and steel tanks and transformed
it into a "SPA" with fully paid up share capital
of 3,000 million Liras thereby increasing its production
potential in the sector. Continuous product research
has led to the development of electric water heaters
with glass-lined water tank instead of the old fashioned
galvanised water tanks. The Group is claimed to be the
only supplier of porcelained water heaters at highly
competitive prices, while at the same time guaranteeing
high quality in terms of efficiency, reliability, and
long lasting wear. The "Top Glass" electric
water heater manufactured by the company has a tank
made of steel. The technical solutions used improve
both efficiency and service life, placing it at the
peak current production. The salient characteristics
are: Thick steel tank, lined with porcelain fired at
850 deg C whose strong and special crystalline structure
is enough to react to corrosive and reacting agents.
Thermostat has a double safety with manual reset, and
the check valve provide protection against the risk
of overboiling 5-bolt support flange to support the
entire electric unit (heating elements, thermostat,
anode) Magnesium anode The "Glass Porcellanato"
electric water heater is made of steel and has following
main features: Undeformable boiler by using a single
horizontal weld joining the two halves of the boiler
Thermal insulation of polyurethane, one of the best
insulating materials available which reduces heat loss
Outer casing of sheet steel coated with electrostatically
applied polyester-powder paint, furnace dried at 180
deg C Magnesium anode The new middle capacity product
line of the company, which includes 150 and 200 litres
models, shows the well known quality level, design and
a definite 32 mm thick thermal insulation improvement
with high density CFC free polyurethane foam. This wall
mounted line is available in vertical and horizontal
patterns. The vertical pattern is also available with
a water proof system, where steatite heating element
can easily be inspected and replaced without first draining
water out of the heater. All models of this line have
already obtained strictest European standard requirements
(NF, CEBEC, etc.) and are manufactured according to
European specifications EN 335-2-21.
