Micro Propagation Technology
Introduction
Modern method of vegetative propagation
of plant is called micro propagation is technique by
which number of plants can be vegetative propagated
from single bud or tissue of a selected plant. Micro
propagation is one of the methods of tissue culture
primarily used for propagating plants in the laboratory
under sterile controlled conditions. Micro propagation
is the best tool available today for improvement of
yield and quality of horticulture, agricultural and
forestry plants. The variation in yield among plants
is due to genetic and environmental factors. Through
micro propagation the variability among the plants due
to genetic factor can be controlled and made uniform
for the possible best yield.
