- Biodegradable Polymeric Materials for Clinical
Uses
Introduction
Biodegradable polymers are going to become important
materials for preparation of artificial organs and controlled
delivery of drugs. This small project was undertaken
to gather preliminary data regarding these polymers.
Biodegradable and biocompatible polymers are widely
used for many biomedical applications in surgical suture,
drug delivery system, internal bone fixation, vascular
graft and organ regeneration. for these applications
materials having wide range of physical properties and
biodegradability are required. The objective of this
project was to develop polymers, which will degrade
in human without having any harmful effects.
