Tamil  Nadu Corporation for Industrial Infrastructure Development (TACID) is a fully owned company of Tamil Nadu Government. As the name of the company suggests, TACID, is primarily engaged in developing infrastructure which has been identified as the major thrust area in the country for sustaining the economic growth and taking the country on an upward curve of economic growth to the 21st century. 

TACID is involved in promoting, enhancing, augmenting and strengthening of infrastructure in order to make Tamil Nadu an attractive State for industries. The infrastructure projects undertaken by TACID comprise promotion of Industrial Growth Centre/Complexes, augmenting and improving infrastructure, provide facilities for growth of exports in areas which have developed as industrial centres. The role of TACID in all these projects varies from actual implementation to being a facilitator.  

The primary objectives of the company are :  

• To identify potential areas of industrial growth and to set up industrial parks / complexes with integrated infrastructure facilities in such areas. 
• To identify deficiencies in infrastructure facilities in existing industrial areas and to take steps to remove such deficiencies in order to unchain the growth potential. 
• To implement infrastructure projects required by industry for promoting business and trade including exports and imports.
