Development Corporation
The Orissa Industrial Infrastructure Development
Corporation (OIIDC) was set-up in 1981 as a statutory
corporation under Orissa Industrial Infrastructure Development
Corporation Act, 1980 to meet the infrastructural needs
of the entrepreneurs intending to establish industrial
ventures in Orissa. IIDCO has been declared as the nodal
agency for providing industrial infrastructure in the
state of Orissa.
Functions :
Identification of growth points of strategic
locations and establishment of industrial estates
and industrial areas for industrial ventures.
Development and maintenance of infrastructure
viz. Roads, Drain, Powder, Water and other amenities
in these industrial estates.
Allotment of land, sheds etc. to the entrepreneurs
desiring to set up industrial projects.
Identification of suitable land for mega industrial
projects and acquisition of suitable land on their
behalf.
To undertake schemes and works with or for other
organisations.
Achievements :

Industrial Estates/Area already established.
Industrial estates have been provided with excellent
infrastructure. Easy availability of power &
water in the estates ensured. They have good roads
and adequate drainage. Banks, post offices and telecom
facilities also provided.
1562 built up sheds constructed and given to
entrepreneurs at confessional rate :
Over 4000 acres of land developed.
Nearly 3000 industries provided with plots and
sheds.
Over 21,000 acres of land acquired and handed
over to large industrial and infrastructure projects
like TISCO, Oswal, L&T, Konark Paper, Paradeep
Phosphate, Hirakud Power Project and so on.
A number of industrial complexes, parks, growth centres,
equipped with state of the art infrastructure and host
of other amenities therein have also been set up. These
include :
ii) Industrial
Park at Paradeep :It is a joint venture
project with private sector, MoU signed with Bang
Pakong Industrial park Co. Ltd., Bangkok covering
about 7000 hectres of land. Many international giants
such as Itochu Corporation, Japan, Fluor Daniels of
USA, Electrowatt of Switzerland, Coastal Energy Co.
of USA will be involved in setting up of this park.
iii) Infrastructure
for IT industries :Software Complex, STP site,
Software building, Manshwar Best Park, Chandaka.
Bhubaneswar Integrated Road
Network Project :
To provide bypass to traffic flowing
through Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and to facilitate
smooth inter city traffic approximate cost Rs. 170
crore.
Industrial
Growth Centres : At Duburi (Jaipur Distt.),
Chhatrapur (Ganjan Distt.) Jharsuguda (Jharsuguda
Distt.) and at Kesinga (Kabahandi Distt.)
Tourism Park,
Puri : In an area of over 3000 acres
stretched over 9 kms along virgin set beach.
Integrated
Infrastructure Development Centre (IIDC) :
IID Centre at Khurda, Paradeep and Rayagade to encourage
promotion of small and tiny industries in rural areas.
Estimated cost of each IID centre is Rs. 6 crore.
Convention
Centre, Bhubaneswar : For holding of
national and international seminars, conferences,
cultural events etc.
IDCO as a facilitators for development
of infrastructure projects in the state through private
consignment :
Till now construction works worth Rs. 400 crore executed.
Committed to provide quality infrastructure and
construction for economic development of Orissa.
ISO 9001 Certification received from RWTUV CERT,
Germany in the areas of infrastructure development,
industrial estate management, design and execution
of civil, electrical, water supply and PH engineering
projects.
In pursuance of the quality objectives, IDCO
has adopted ISO-14001 Environmental Management System
certified by RWTUV CERT, Germany.
Financial Highlights
:
The state government has made no contribution
by way of share capital IDCO only receives interest
free loans from the state government.
