Airstrips
There are several air strips in the
state, which can act as nodes for feeder route air transport
services in the eastern region. part from Durgapur which
has an aerodrome owned by a Public Sector Undertaking,
there are three civil airstrips (category "B") maintained
by the National Airports Authority of India (NAAI) and
several others maintained by the Indian Air Force (IAF).

Industrial Parks
Internationally, the current thinking
is that a cluster of industrial units should be set
up in a region so that they can share the same infrastructural
facilities, and the cost of infrastructure per units
comes down. In line with this, the State Government
has promoted some industry specific parks for industrial
development. Specific industries are being promoted
in specific regions to derive locational advantage.
