Bihar-Purnea Growth Centre
Location
The state has Growth Centre at Purnea.
The Growth Centre have locational advantage in terms
of availability of inputs and market.
Land
a. Land/ Shed in Growth Centre
Land/sheds in Growth Centres, Industrial
Areas etc. is allotted to entrepreneurs for setting
their industrial units on lease of 90 years with option
for renewal. The rent payable for the land would be
subject to revision after every 20 years.The predetermined
cost of developed land/ shed is realised in easy instalments.
The entrepreneur shall have the right to mortgage the
land/shed with the Financial Institutions/Banks. No
separate permission is required either of the Government
or the Industrial Area Development Authority for mortgaging
the leased land to the Financial Institutions/Banks
within the lease period for securing term loan/ working
capital loans for the Unit for which the land/shed has
been leased. Authorities managing Industrial Areas and
Growth Centres would be the Single contact point for
clearances regarding allotment of land.
b. Land for Industries Outside Growth
Centre/ Industrial Area
Besides availing of infrastructure
facilities in Industrial Area and Growth Centre an entrepreneur
can also site his plant by purchasing land or through
allotment of Government land. State Government will
also assist in facilitating purchase as also in acquiring
land for locating industries. The State Government has
already amended the Bihar Tenancy Act authorising conversion
of agricultural land. Similar amendments in other Tenancy
Acts will be carried out.
c. Allotment Of Government Land
District Collectors maintain detailed
information on all available Government land in the
district. The Collectors are authorised to allot up
to 5 acres of government land for industrial purpose
Government land in excess of 5 acres would be leased
to entrepreneurs with the approval of the Empowered
Committee. The land would be allotted at predetermined
rates which would be fixed by the Government from time
to time.
