"To create a world class centre for
leading-edge business-driven research in India"
Modus Operandi
The Park provides Indian knowledge
database for clients who seek research partnerships.
Location
The Park is located in Turkapally,
25 miles away from the city of Hyderabad.
Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra
Pradesh has excellent roads, an efficient transport
system, abundant power and a modern telecommunication
network.
Hyderabad is equidistant from the
major cities in the country and possesses an international
airport with flights to Middle-East and Far-East. Hyderabad
is also home to eight universities and several specialised
institutions of
research and higher learning.
The Park is located close to excellent
upcoming housing complexes. The city offers access to
sophisticated medical facilities, schools, supermarkets,
health clubs and leisure facilities including theatres,
bowling alleys and a golf course
The Park is situated in a 200-acre campus at Turkapally
near Hyderabad. The Park offers bare and ready-to-use
modular laboratory units each of 3,200 sq .ft. area as
well as plots of land for setting up customised R&D
centres. The first phase of the Park consisting of 35,000
sq.ft built up lab. space is ready for occupation.
The laboratory units and land plots
will be leased to tenant companies. The units are competitively
priced and the lease arrangement can be structured to
suit individual client needs. A service tariff will
be charged to cover the maintenance and security expenses.
The Park will provide a range of infrastructure
and administrative support services to create a congenial
stress-free environment.
The infrastructure services include
uninterrupted power supply, fibre-optic network for
high-speed data transfer, secondary effluent treatment
plant, a full-fledged conference facility and cafeteria.
The administrative support services
will include legal / patent cell, secretarial services,
refuse disposal and facilitate housing, schooling, etc.
A Knowledge Network, a unique product
of the Park, will be developed in phases through participative
feedback. A search engine will be provided enabling
seem less access to network member institutions
As the key differentiating factor
of the Park, I-KPL proposes to establish an interactive
Knowledge Network among renowned research and academic
institutions in the country and the Park tenants. The
participative nature and real time working of the electronic
platform will distinguish this network from the traditional
networking platforms available to knowledge workers
like journals and conferences.
The network will be developed in phases
to facilitate evolution through participative feedback.
To begin with, the Knowledge Network
would focus on 15 R&D institutions in the areas
of Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Chemicals,
New Materials and IT / Telecom. If however an incoming
Park tenant desires a network specific to his requirement,
that would be facilitated.
Several other teams and individuals
in different institutions in India are doing good research.
The network would be designed to include them in a phased
manner.
